Water Taxi

I remember posting a water taxi shot from Echo Lake in September of 07, but it was nothing like this little guy. It is actually free for people in my office, and one of these days I will need to take a lunch boat trip!

Skinny House

All over Baltimore there are these "houses". The primary measurements you care about are width, and stories. I toured one today (not pictured) that was 18 feet wide, had a finished basement, 3 floors above ground, and a roof top patio. I think it had 4 bedrooms, but I kind of got lost. It was actually rather nice, and had a price tag to match, in the "high 500's". The more typical units are around 12 feet wide, and 2-3 stories, but a builder told me that some of the older ones go down to 9 feet wide. Basically if you demolished the home, my motor home would not fit in the resulting space.......

We are trying to decide if we should become city dwellers, or if we should head to the country. Decision pending.....

A Different Sort of Sunrise

I am now camped out in Abingdon MD, and I commute down to the Inner Harbor of Baltimore. One thing I have noticed is that the sun rises over the bay around here. ........This isn't Delta any longer!

Considering where that sun was placed, I was very glad that the morning was overcast as I drove through Nebraska.

Still There

I found myself watching the car in teh rear camera a little more closely. You will also note that more than a few bugs gave up their life on this trip.

Oops

I started feeling something odd with a tire, and thought I may have a flat, so I stopped. The tires were fine, but I found that my car was implementing en escape plan..........That strap is designed to go over the tire!

East Bound

The leaves were starting to change as I headed East out of Montrose.

Heading Out

Last Sunday I left Delta for Baltimore. I will be living in the motor home until our home in Delta sells. My wife & the girls will join me then. I hope it sells fast!

Made It

I finally made it to tha Baltimore area, and am setting up shop in a campground. They have wireless, and I brought a desktop machine, and have a USB wireless adapter. When I went to install it, it wanted the disk or Internet. Well, the internet was obviously not up yet, but it seems that I have a driver problem on my CDs, so it could not read the disk.....what to do.....I asked the campground office if I could use their computer to copy files from the CD to an SD card, and was told no......I hope this is not an indicator of things to come. So off to find a public library I went, and sure enough, they had a machine I could use. That copy is going on as I type this. Once I get my machine working, I will begin to post pictures.

Slow Winds

Well, not all winds blow fast, but after a rather interesting month of job hunting, the position in Baltimore has finally come to be a reality. I start tomorrow, and will take our motor home and a car out there next week. You should start seeing posts here over the next week or two.
